Stage Left hires close to one hundred artists and technicians every year to work on both mainstage productions and LeapFest, our annual festival of new work.

Actors
Stage Left is a non-Equity company which hires dozens of actors from outside of our ensemble every year for readings, workshops and mainstage productions. Artists are paid with a stipend.

Designers
and Crew
Stage Left hires designers, stage managers and production staff for workshops and mainstage production on a show by show basis. All designers and crew are paid a stipend.

Playwrights
In addition to producing new plays, Stage Left has an active development program, Downstage Left. There are two great ways to get your script read by our artists.

Volunteer
Stage Left relies on volunteer labor to accomplish everything from brochure mailings to cleaning out our prop and costume storage. If you have a skill you think we’d find useful, or time you’d like to share, please fill out our volunteer form.
